IPSWICH BOARD OF SELECTMEN
Meting of Monday, December 13, 2010 ~ 7:30 pm
Ipswich Town Hall, 25 Green Street

With a quorum present, in the absence of the Chair, Mr. Morley called the meeting to order at 7:31 pm

Selectmen present: Raymond Morley, Vice Chair; Patrick McNally; William Craft

Not Present:  Charles Surpitski, Chair; Shirley Berry

Also Present:  Robert Markel, Town Manager; Catherine Tinsley, Minutes Secretary


RIGHT OF FIRST REFUSAL (OLD TOWN HALL)
Present:  Diane Mayo, 180 Argilla Road as representative for the Non-profit Group, Ipswich Playhouse Society for Development of Arts and Humanities, Inc.
The BOS were provided with a packet from Ms. Mayo including Selectmen minutes of May 24, 2010 approving the Town’s waiver of first refusal; Thomas Mayo Associates/ Architects & Urban Designs; Memorandum Of Agreement with the Town of Ipswich and Thomas Mayo dated Oct 20, 2008.
The Ipswich Playhouse Society For Development Of Arts And Humanities Inc. has one year from January 2011 to meet their contractual obligation to purchase the building. The total project is estimated at a cost of 3 million dollars.  The Group is contracted with Susan Palmer, a professional fundraiser, to raise the $500,000 to purchase the property.
