With a quorum present, Mr. McNally called the meeting to
order at 6:45 p.m.

Ms. Miles made a motion to enter into Executive Session
under MGL chapter 39 section 23B (6) To
consider the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property, if such
discussions may have a detrimental effect on the negotiating position of the
governmental body and a person, firm or corporation. Mr. Morey seconded and the motion carried by
unanimous roll call vote.
7:37 PM the Selectmen returned to open session.
THE IPSWICH PLAYHOUSE ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT CENTER

Urcan Designers, 180 Argilla Road; Judy
Field, Attorney
Regarding the purchase and sale agreement with the Old Town
Hall with Bill Hanney and The Ipswich Playhouse Society for the Development of
Arts & Humanities, Inc, a nonprofit charitable organization, to purchase,
renovate the historic Ipswich Town Hall at 30 South Main Street as a theater,
with commercial establishments e.g. coffee shop, book store. The request before
the Board is to approve a “nominee” as referred to in the Waiver of Right of
First Refusal to be the Ipswich Playhouse Society for the Development of Arts
& Humanities, Inc. It was noted that should the current arrangement not
work out, the right of first refusal comes back to the town.
Ms. Miles made a motion to approve as nominee, under Wavier
of Right of First Refusal, the Ipswich Playhouse
Society for the Development of Arts & Humanities, Inc. Mr. Surpitski seconded and the motion carried
by unanimous vote.
